Paying homage to the 1975 film Mahogany, boutique owner Helen Williams, opened Tracy Chambers Vintage and Inspired Clothing, named after Diana’s Ross’s character in the movie. A Diana Ross-inspired vintage boutique has recently opened in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, offering locals a place to meet, shop and admire vintage and current trends.

Tracy Chambers Vintage and Inspired Clothing takes its name from Diana Ross’s character in the 1975 film “Mahogany,” a Cinderella story in which Ross plays a Chicago fashion student on a journey to Rome, which leads her into a life of celebrity and activism.

Ross was hailed for her character’s polished outfits, ranging from sportswear to cutting edge kabuki-inspired style, some of which were designed by Ross herself.
