Wendy Williams is known for being blunt, spreading gossip and creating enemies within the world of Hollywood. Most recently, the former shock jock stirred controversy by accusing black women of being jealous of her surgically enhanced assets.

“They are jealous,” Williams said in an interview with XO Jane, “Because if I said to that person, ‘I got the doctor and I’m going to pay for it. Choose three things you want to do,’ believe me, they would get it done. They are very jealous and scared. Scared of what their other friends would say, or to break out of the box and be different. And being black? Ugh, please. My people will not go for any kind of surgery. We are supposed to be natural. Ugh, whatever.”

Williams has a history of offending celebrities and sometimes fans, but she insists she doesn’t say these things to hurt people. “I wasn’t using my powers for evil. I was using my power for good. I was entertaining millions of people on the radio.”

The self-proclaimed female Howard Stern has increased her popularity in daytime TV, had a small role in the film Think Like a Man and has a third memoir in the works.

Williams is also not shy about her use of plastic surgery. She has spoken candidly about going under the knife several times and altering parts of her body. Still, do you think her comments about “jealous” black women went too far?
