Green Bay Packers receiver Donald Driver was the winner of last night’s season finale of Dancing With the Stars 14th season, beating out other athletes and music artists. Driver’s victory brings the number of black males who have won the coveted mirror ball trophy since the hit show began to three. Season 12′s winner was Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward and Season 3 was won by Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith. The success of black males in reality competition programs has been evident most recently with their success in shows like Celebrity Apprentice (Arsenio Hall) and The Voice (Jermaine Paul). This inspired theGrio to compile a list of black men who have won reality television shows over the years. You may have forgotten a few familiar faces.
