Robert Griffin III making jersey history

From NBC Washington: Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is definitely a trendsetter (there is no need to remind you about the socks at this point, but just in case).

Yet, RG3 is not just making history with his socks anymore. He’s also doing so with his jersey.

According to Uni-Watch’s Paul Lukas, RG3 will be the first NFL player and the first player across all four North American professional sports (NBA, MLB, NHL) to feature a Roman numeral on the nameplate on the back of his uniform.
