From Clutch Magazine: You know you wanted to know.

Beyoncé Knowles is finally giving fans an inkling into the inspiration behind the name of baby Blue Ivy Carter, reports Sister2Sister Magazine, and it does not disappoint.

Posting a poem by Rebecca Solnit, titled Field Guide to Getting Lost, the pop icon gives one of the most beautiful definitions that I’ve seen in quite sometime:

Now, I don’t know about you, but that poem transforms a simple color to a work of art in and of itself. I actually know several people ranging in age from 4 to 35, male and female, that share the famous Carter name, but I’m actually impressed by Beyoncé’s inspiration.

Right now, Blue is ranked #3624 on Baby Center and has seen a steady climb in popularity since the birth of Blue Ivy.

Mothers and mothers-to-be, would you ever name your child a color?
