Seven-time Grammy-winning R&B artist Usher releases his seventh studio album, Looking 4 Myself, today. With his latest album, Usher attempts to create a new genre of music, ‘revolutionary pop’,  which combines several different genres to create a new sound. Looking 4 Myself includes Usher’s his single “Climax,” which charted 17 on the U.S. Billboard and number 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs this winter. The music video for the quiet storm slow jam video was released in March.

The new album also includes the pop single “Scream” coupled with the urban single “Lemme See” featuring rapper Rick Ross. Usher even includes a little retro-soul vamp with “Twisted.”

Entertainment Weekly says the album “still sounds like the Usher you know; it’s just a little more interesting than his usual onslaught of skull-pounding beats and silk-sheets ballads.”
