NBC Connecticut – The state medical board has suspended Dr. Tory Westbrook’s medical license, amid allegations of inappropriate physical and sexual conduct.

Westbrook and his lawyer, Norm Pattis, were not in the room when the medical board met on Tuesday and Pattis had asked for a postponement.

Westbrook is accused of sexually assaulting three patients at the Community Health Center in Clinton. He was also the medical director of the Charter Oak Health Center in Hartford and has been placed on administrative leave.

State health department records state that Westbrook also had a sexual relationship with a fourth patient and inappropriately prescribed controlled substances to her.

The allegations are sealed by court order. The board has scheduled hearings on Westbrook’s status for June 26 and July 10.

Dr. Edwin Njoku, whose license has already been suspended, is also expected to appear before the medical board on Tuesday.
