Michelle Obama attends fundraiser for LGBT rights

NBC Chicago  First Lady Michelle Obama will be Glee-fully dancing her way around Chicago next week as she is scheduled to host two fundraisers downtown, including one co-hosted by TV star Jane Lynch.

The First Lady is set to appear June 26 at an 11 a.m. luncheon co-hosted by the popular Glee star and Dolton native at Fulton’s on the River, at 315 N. La Salle St.

Tickets range from $250 to $5,000 for the soire. The event is expected to generate support from the LGBT community.

Lynch, a suburban Dolton native, has been a vocal supporter of Obama, narrating a campaign video in which the president expresses support for LGBT rights. Obama is the first sitting president to express support for same-sex marriage.
