Usher’s non-profit organization, New Look Foundation, hosted their third annual World Leadership Conference at Emory University in Atlanta from June 19-23, 2012. The World Leadership Conference brings together celebrities, corporate leaders, and politicians with 150 youth leaders representing eight different countries.

Throughout the five day conference, the New Look youth had the opportunity to visit major corporate sites including GE, Georgia Power, and AT&T as part of the conference’s “Powered By Service” training.  A local Atlanta based company, Crawford & Company participated in a portion of the conference called Expressions on Thursday, June, 21st.  Crawford & Company is the world’s largest independent provider of claims management solutions. Several of their employees spoke to the young leaders about obstacles they’ve overcome, and the company’s worldwide service day.

The World Leadership Conference also included mentoring an estimated 1,000 Atlanta-based middle school students during the Community Leadership Day.

“I wanted to show the youth, by way of example, that you can do something positive and you can be successful,”  Usher.
