Usher and ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, are at the side of her son, Kyle Glover, as he remains on life support today. Eleven-year-old, Kyle Glover and a 15-year-old female friend were riding in tubes being towed behind a boat yesterday when they were both struck by a jet ski.  While his female friend suffered a cut to her head and a broken arm, Glover’s severe head injury has rendered him brain dead.  There are now reports naming the jet ski driver, and stating that he was a close family friend.  The Examiner has the story:

Usher is struggling today as his stepson is kept alive on a life support system after a freak accident left his 11 year-old stepson brain dead. According to reports Tuesday, the boy remains on life support today, as the identity of the driver of the Jet Ski that hit the young boy is identified as a family friend today.

The police incident report states that Kyle Glover and a 15 year-old female friend were in tubes being towed by a boat when Jeffery S Hubbard, 38 years-old, ran over the kids with his Jet Ski watercraft, according to MTV. Both of the children were injured and flown to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
