NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A reputed New Jersey gang member has been convicted in the slayings of a woman and three teenage girls at an Irvington home nearly four years ago.

A jury found 40-year Rolando Terrell guilty Wednesday of four counts each of murder and felony murder in the September 2008 slayings. Prosecutors said Terrell and another man robbed and shot the victims, then set their house on fire.

Terrell faces a possible term of life without parole when he is sentenced. He received a life sentence after being convicted last year of related robbery, arson conspiracy and weapons offenses.

He has denied being at the scene when the crimes occurred.

Killed were 40-year-old Candes McLean; her daughter, Talia, and her niece, Zaykiyyah Jones, both 18; and 13-year-old Latrisha Carruthers-Fields.
