According to Deadline Hollywood, Smith is preparing to make his directorial debut with a film about the battling brothers from the Bible, Cain and Abel. The film is currently in development at Sony and will be produced by Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment.

The Cain and Abel project has allegedly been in works for years now, but won’t be the I Am Legend actor’s next film.  In his next movie, he will star alongside his son, Jaden Smith, in the Sci-Fi adventure After Earth, which is expected to be released next summer.
