Just a little over a week after R&B singer Frank Ocean opening up about his sexual orientation, indie rapper Murs released a new music video for the single “Animal Style,” in which he kisses another man.

In his new music video, the west coast emcee Murs plays the part of Roderick, a high school student who is in love with another male student in his school.  The lyrics take you through the lives of Roderick and his secret boyfriend, Jonathan, how they break up because friends find out, and the dramatic ending to their love story.  As the video ends, there is a shot of both men kissing.

While Murs is a relative unknown to the mainstream, he’s known and very respected in the underground music scene. As a member of the west coast group Living Legends, Murs has released over 20 records in a seven-plus year span.
