One of next year’s most anticipated films, After Earth is a science fiction thriller starring Will and Jaden Smith.  After Earth‘s director, M. Night Shyamalan, is known for his supernatural story lines in such films as The Sixth Sense and Signs.

In his latest venture, Shyamalan cast the Smiths to play a father and son from the future. General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) returns home from military duty to a son, Kitai (Jaden Smith), who barely knows him.  While traveling, the two crash land on Earth, which has been without human life for 1,000 years.  Cypher is injured in the crash, and Kitai must search for their rescue beacon.

You can follow any updates for After Earth on their Facebook page.

Watch After Earth‘s recently released viral teaser.  Although it does not feature Will or Jaden, it does supply some background to the film’s plot.
