A 7-year-old Brooklyn girl is unharmed after falling three stories out of a window, thanks to one of her heroic neighbors.

Keyla McCree, a young autistic girl from the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, somehow crawled out of her apartment’s third floor window and began dancing on the air conditioning unit in the window. Steven St. Bernard, a 52-year-old bus driver, was below when he witnessed the child outside the window.  He stood watching, and reacted quickly once he noticed the girl had started to fall. St. Bernard stuck his arms out just in time to break Keyla’s fall.

St. Bernard tore a tendon in his left shoulder, but the little girl escaped the incident without injury.
