Hip-hop veteran Nas now has six number albums under his belt.  His tenth studio album Life is Good debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart this week.

The album’s  first week sales were 149,000 according to Nielsen Soundscan and surpassed initial projections by 24,000. The featured singles on the album are “The Don” and “Daughters”.  Life is Good is the successor to the Queensbridge rapper’s 2008 album Untitled. The rapper has received critical acclaim for his latest  project, with some calling it his best work since his classic 1994 debut recording Illmatic.

Nas’s album release was followed by appearances on several shows including The Colbert Report, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Behind the Music.
