Rapper Drake is adamant about obtaining his high school diploma and is just one credit from completing his goal.

“I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school…That’s my main focus after OVO Fest. I have one credit left, and I am really excited about that,” said Drake in an interview with NOW magazine.

Ironically, the Toronto native’s character on the popular Canadian TV series Degrassi, Jimmy Brooks, did graduate from high school.

Now that he is a multi-platinum selling artist and his rap career is thriving, Drake is making his education his main priority.

The 3rd annual OVO fest will be held in Toronto this Sunday.
