BET founder and chairman of the RLJ companies, Robert Johnson, is developing a faith-friendly channel on YouTube. ALRIGHT TV will produce entertainment, comedy, reality, self-help, music, talk programs and hopes to provide inspirational content to viewers of all ages.

ALRIGHT TV intends to capture a segment of the growing online media audience by partnering with Our Stories Films. Our Story Films was started by Tracy Edmonds, ex-wife of music of R&B artist and producer Baby Face, who produced the 2011 film  Jumping the Broom and Who’s You Caddy in 2007. RLJ companies released a statement with details of their development deal with Our Stories Films and ALRIGHT TV’s programming line- up.

“We are excited about developing a faith-friendly content channel with The RLJ Companies. The RLJ Companies and Our Stories Films possess a proven track record in creating quality content, and we look forward to working with RLJ and OSF in this new venture,” said Malik Ducard, Director of Entertainment Content Partnerships at YouTube.

Johnson acquired Image Entertainment, Inc. and Acorn Media Group earlier this year, making his company, RLJ entertainment, one of the largest distributors of online video content, according to PR Newswire.

“ALRIGHT TV will offer first rate buzz-worthy content in the areas of comedy, reality, self-help, music, and talk that promises to empower and entertain family audiences of all ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. Bob and I are very excited to move forward with our vision and commitment to provide quality entertainment into the digital arena,” said Tracey E. Edmonds, President and COO of Our Stories Films.
