We reported last week that rapper Drake was tapped to produce the late singer Aaliyah’s first posthumous album, and over the weekend he debuted the first new offering from the songstress in over a decade. Titled “Enough Said,” the single sonically has more of a Drake-inspired sound, which is not a surprise since his producer Noah ‘40’ Shebib, is at the helm.

For those wondering if we’d be hearing from long-time collaborators from Aaliyah’s past like producer Timbaland or Missy Elliott, don’t hold your breath.

Timbaland recently appeared on the Breakfast Club and said Drake hasn’t reached out to him about the project. He also feels that if any future projects involving Aaliyah are to be made, he and Missy Elliott should be consulted in some capacity.

“I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy,” said Timbaland. “The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. But to put it on his record, would just not be right.”
