Shaquille O’Neal and his fiancé, Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander, have reportedly called it quits. The 7’1” former NBA star and his 5’2” girlfriend started dating back in 2010 when Shaq played for the Boston Celtics. However, Hoopz confirmed to the Boston Globe on Friday that she and Shaq are no longer together.

According to Black Sports Online, the pair allegedly broke up after having a public argument at a gym where Hoopz wanted to practice gymnastics.

“The gym doesn’t teach people over the age of 18 for insurance purposes and when Hoopz was told this she lost her mind,” an eyewitness at the gym said. “She started to curse out the staff and became belligerent.  She got extremely loud, screaming at the top of her lungs how she needed to train for the 2016 Olympics. Shaq was embarrassed, he dropped his head like he was ashamed of her. He didn’t say anything while they were in the gym, but once they got to their car a heated argument took place.  You could hear and see them screaming at each other.”

Alexander became well known after winning the first season of VH1’s Flavor of Love, where she received the nickname “Hoopz.” She also was a contestant on VH1’s reality show I Love Money, in 2008.

Shaq, who has five children, was previously married to Basketball Wives producer/star Shaunie O’Neal for seven years until they divorced in 2009.

Shaq has yet to confirm or deny his split from Hoopz.
