theGrio is excited to report the news that Eddie Murphy’s beloved Beverly Hills Cop action-comedy series is getting a reboot on the small screen.
CBS has reportedly ordered a pilot for a new show which will feature the veteran comedian in a supporting role as Axel Foley, and ideally a rising black male comedian to play his son, Aaron Foley.
Rumor has it that Saturday Night Live‘s Jay Pharoah is a leading contender for the role, while Murphy himself is said to favor Think Like a Man star Kevin Hart.
