The Huffington Post reports Jeffrey Wright is set to star in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, another surprise addition to the already star studded cast.  Wright, a veteran character actor, will play Beetee, the elderly electronics genius. Catching Fire is the second of the Hunger Games film series to hit theaters. The first film brought in $408 million at the domestic box office.
The strangely awesome cast of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” just got a little bit more strange and awesome. Lionsgate announced Friday that world-class actor Jeffrey Wright has been cast as Beetee in the second installment of the franchise. Back in July, Variety had reported that Tony Shaloub was the front-runner for the role.
