From EURWeb: Actress Garcelle Beauvais opened up about her marriage to Mike Nilo and getting over her ex-husband’s public betrayal.

In 2010, the couple was divorced after Nilo cheated on Beauvais. The two have twin boys together.

In her new blog on PEOPLE.com, she revealed that the affair was a shock to her.

“I thought I had won the lotto in husbands. Caring? Check. Attentive? Check. Loyal? Well, un-check,” writes Beauvais. “It only took one text message to change my life. That’s when I discovered my loving husband had been unfaithful.”

The pain was almost unbearable for the actress, prompting her to oust her husband as a cheater. She sent a fiery email to his colleagues and their friends.

Like any other woman experiencing something similar, she too wondered how and why this happened to her.
