Rapper Waka Flocka Flame announced on his Twitter page last night that his upcoming shows in Norfolk and Richmond are cancelled due to the state banning him.

The “No Hands” artist followed up his initial tweet with:

It is unclear why the state allegedly banned Waka Flocka, but his close to 1.2 million Twitter followers must have had an impact on his show cancellations.

Just hours after his cancellation announcement, the rapper tweeted “Funny how much power Twitter has,” and mentioned postponing the shows as opposed to completely cancelling them.

The alleged ban from V.A. isn’t the first time Flocka has been denied to perform somewhere.

Last year he was stopped at the U.S., Canadian border and forced to cancel a tour date in Toronto, while North Carolina sought to ban his security team earlier this year.
