Will.i.Am and Simon Cowell to create ‘X Factor’ spin-off for science and technology

According to The Telegraph, Will.i.Am, Black Eyed Peas frontman and future Voice judge will reportedly be working with Simon Cowell on a reality TV competition show focused on Science and Technology. Will.i.Am is the “Director of Creative Innovation” at Intel and was involved in the launch of the Curiosity rover to Mars. Curiosity recently beamed Will.i.Am’s new song “Reach for the Stars” from Mars to Earth:

Will.i.am, a singer with the Black Eyed Peas and coach on BBC1′s The Voice, has claimed he will be work with Mr Cowell on the show to give young people a chance “to express themselves” in science and maths.

Speaking at a technology conference in London, he said: “We’re working on a project called X Factor for tech — and it’s going to be out of this world.”

“Singing and performance create a couple of jobs. But this will create lots.
