Veteran rapper and ex-reality TV star Flavor Flav has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ.

The 53-year-old Public Enemy hype-man was allegedly incarcerated in Las Vegas following an altercation in his home with fiancée and and her teenage son, which involved a knife.

According to the Associated Press, no one was injured and the rapper (whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr.) is being held on $23,000 bail in Clark County jail.

Flav has been embroiled in a series of recent brushes with the law.

In January, he and his daughter were arrested because of a domestic incident, and in May of 2011 he was arrested in Las Vegas for driving violations.

Flav has been in the headlines most recently for opening a fried chicken chain and a viral video in which he mistook singer Miley Cyrus for Gwen Stefani.
