As the presidential election heats up, political opinions are turning up in odd places.

For example in Southwest Texas, a local church’s sign reads: “Vote for the Mormon, not the Muslim! The capitalist, not the communist!”

The Church of the Valley, located in Leakey, Texas is making it clear they are supporters of Mitt Romney’s candidacy.

Gawker reports the church is technically a non-profit organization, which means they cannot endorse a political candidate.  A rule they appear to blatantly breaking with such a politically charged message.

The controversial sign was the idea of the church’s pastor, Ray Miller.
