Nicki Minaj’s performances and interviews are always a surprise because people never know which of her alter egos they’ll get, but now the YMCMB female rapper is giving us some insight into one of her multiple personalities.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Minaj said she learned to perfect her British accent by listening to Mel B, “Scary Spice,” of the Spice Girls and Emma Watson, who stars as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter movies.

“There are so many, but one person was Scary Spice. I used to listen to her all the time and try to make the same faces she’d make when she was talking,” she said. “Oh, and Hermione from Harry Potter.”

Minaj’s British accent is possibly her most popular one as she’s known to slip into it in the middle of her songs and interviews.

Minaj is set to debut Pink Friday Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up on November 19. The album is a re-release of her sophomore disc Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
