Coco Austin and her husband, Ice-T, are keeping it real on their reality show Ice Loves Coco. Now in it’s third season, the show follows Coco as she attempt to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry and step out of the shadows of her famous rapper/actor husband.
During an interview with theGrio, Coco talked about the stress of launching her clothing line, Licious, her future career plans, and weighed in on some celebrity hot topics.
According to a recent report published in US Weekly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West plan to get married once her divorce from Kris Humphries is finalized.
Coco, who has been married to her rapper husband for more than a decade weighed in on Kim and Kanye’s reported plans to wed, and gave advice on how the couple can successfully navigate their relationship.
“One thing is, rappers…they’re really into what they gotta say, you know…they’re rappers. And they’re very passionate too,” Coco said. “So I think that’s a whole world that she doesn’t really know about, so I would just kinda stay clear of that. You know cuz’ the rappers, they do their own thing. Don’t try to mix your expertise in with them.”
During Hurricane Sandy, Coco recorded a video of herself reporting the harsh weather conditions from the balcony of her home in Edgewater, N.J. Days later the clip received nearly 2 million views on YouTube.
“I uploaded the video, not 5 minutes later our power went down. And then three days later it was like 2 million hits. I couldn’t believe it,” she said.
Thus far, Coco says she has received two serious offers for weather gigs; one from VH1 and the other from The Weather Channel. The former Playboy playmate says she is seriously considering taking on one of her offers.
“I totally am. Because it’s something that I would love to do and I would be so into do, like passionate.”
