Call it the turkey chili summit.

Mitt Romney met with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office today, the first time the two have spoken in person since the presidential election.

According to the official readout of the event, the two talked for an hour over lunch in the private dining room adjacent to the Oval Office, and Romney congratulated the president “for the success of his campaign and wished him well over the coming four years.”

The official report states that the two focused their discussion on America’s leadership role in the world, and how to maintain it, and they vowed to stay in touch if future opportunities to work together arise.
