December 1st marks the celebration of World AIDS Day each year. The day is dedicated to bringing awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of the HIV infection.
World AIDS Day “is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died,” according to WorldAIDSDay.org.
