Retired heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson admits that he was high on cocaine while shooting his small role in The Hangover, according to the Daily Mail.

Tyson admitted that he only signed on to do the project in order to “supply his drug habit,” according to producers.

“‘They had to know I was messed up,” Tyson said of his acting mates Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianaki and Justin Bartha. “I couldn’t talk. I had the cocaine talk.”

In the 2009 film Tyson played an imposing version of himself that threatens to harm the “Wolfpack” unless they return his stolen tiger, but in real life the cast inspired Tyson to change his lifestyle.

“So those guys are just beautiful people. They had my back, and I appreciate that and stuff, then they asked me to come back [in The Hangover 2].”

Tyson has since been to rehab and is now happily married to his third wife, Lakiha Spencer.
