Johnson, 34, targets WorldStarHipHop and Media Takeout as the two sites that posted the footage without his consent. Allegedly, the footage was stolen from Johnson. He believes that someone hacked into his phone.
Johnson is asking for unspecified damages and a court order blocking the sites from posting the footage again.
The footage has since been removed from the sites following a cease-and-desist letter, but Johnson says the damage has already been done.
This news comes after Johnson turned to the FBI to identify who leaked the sex tape. Johnson, who most recently was divorced by Evelyn Lozada last year after he headbutted her, confirms that he is the man in the video.
The tape was shot over three years ago in a hotel room in Florida sources tell TMZ. The female in the video is model Theresa Runyon, or Wankaego, of Orlando, according to Black Sports Online.
The tape was leaked just days after Lozada dropped the restraining order against Johnson.
