This past weekend, the long-documented feud between singers Chris Brown and Frank Ocean appeared to reach the point of no return as the two allegedly were involved in a physical altercation in Los Angeles, according to the Associated Press.

As more details unfold, it appears the Odd Future member may seek legal action against his fellow R&B superstar.

Ocean is reportedly pushing to have Brown prosecuted for his involvement in the purported incident.

According to Reuters, deputies that arrived on the scene cited witnesses that said Brown punched Ocean during the melee.

Steve Whitmore, a L.A. County sheriff spokesman, said Ocean “is desirous of prosecution of the incident,” and while no charges have been filed yet, Chris Brown is still completing his five-year probation originating from his 2009 assault charge against Rihanna.

If the charges become official, Brown will be in jeopardy of having his probation status revoked.

Brown’s team hasn’t made a direct comment addressing the possibility of jail time, but the singer did post a painting from his Instagram account of Jesus on the Cross, with the caption: “Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!”

With the Grammys around the corner and these two talented artists competing in multiple categories head to head, this R&B beef will continue to make headlines.
