One day after the 55th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, hip-hop producer Jermaine Dupri and 106 & Park host rapper Bow Wow got ready to work on music for the Jordan Brand in New York City.

They talked about projects they’ve been working on, as well as big things to expect for 2013.

In the final prepping stages for the So So Def 20th Anniversary All Star Concert, Dupri said he expects “it to be crazy.”

The Atlanta-based record label has been a force in the hip-hop community since the early 90′s.

On February 23rd Dupri will be joined in Atlanta by current and former So So Def artists, including Kris Kross, Anthony Hamilton, Da Brat, Lil Jon, and more.

Dupri said he feels this is the type of event “fans, or a fan of music period would really want to be at.”

Bow Wow is set to perform at the So So Def 20th Anniversary Concert, and just weeks later on his birthday, March 9th, he will release his next mixtape, Greenlight 5.

The tracklist for his upcoming project includes several big name hip-hop artists: Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Kendrick Lamar are just a few of the heavy hitters to be featured.

However, Chris Brown, a close friend of Bow Wow, surprisingly did not make the cut.

“I know a lot of times our fans, me and Chris, they always love when we do records together because we do it so perfect,” the 106 & Park host said. “We don’t bombard our audience with a lot of Chris Brown/Bow Wow features, but when we do them they’re special. They get big.”

“I had a record on there with me and Chris, but it just didn’t fit,” the rapper explained.

While Bow Wow and Brown won’t be releasing a new track, Bow Wow shared that the two “are doing something together that’s gonna be big in the film world.”

“Me and Chris are really close to working something out big for our first time hooking up together as far as film is concerned.”

Bow Wow said the film project is slated for 2013 and hopes to have it ready to release by summer.

Between the So So Def 20th Anniversary Concert, Bow Wow’s new mixtape and upcoming film with Chris Brown, big things are expected from Dupri and Bow Wow in 2013.
