The upcoming action movie Dead Man Down tells the story of the right hand man to a notorious underground crime lord in New York City.

The film stars Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard and Colin Farrell, who end up at war with each other when Farrell’s character, Victor, seeks revenge against his mob boss Alponse (played by Howard), who was responsible for the deaths of his wife and daughter.

In an exclusive clip of Dead Man Down, provided to theGrio by FilmDistrict, Victor is positioned on rooftop with a rifle attempting to assassinate Alphonse as he exits a restaurant to enter his car.

Niels Arden Oplev, the acclaimed director of the original Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, makes his American theatrical debut with the new action thriller.

Dead Man Down hits theaters nationwide March 8th.
