BOSTON (AP) — Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose says he is making progress in his rehab from reconstructive knee surgery but his left leg “still isn’t right.”

Rose spoke with reporters after Wednesday night’s 71-69 loss to the Celtics in Boston. He says he’s doing more every week, but he still can’t dunk.

Rose says the team is leaving it to him to decide when he feels ready, but he says he won’t let the injury change the way he plays. He wants to make sure he can handle being banged around inside.

Rose has been practicing and traveling with the team. But he told USA Today this week that he is prepared to miss the whole season rather than come back too soon.
