According to the most recent Bloomberg National Poll, President Barack Obama has his highest job approval rating in three years.

The poll, conducted February 15-18, showed 55 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s performance in office.

In regards to the president’s handling of the economy, 47 percent of the country approves while 49 percent disapproves.

The Bloomberg Poll notes that 52 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s handling of international relations and “59 percent approve of his handling of terrorism.”

The president also received high marks for his handling of immigration, government spending on infrastructure and education.

Meanwhile, “only 35 percent of the country has a favorable view of the Republican Party,” the poll reports, which is a 6-point drop from their last survey.
