Justin Timberlake returned to music this year with the release of his single “Suit & Tie,” which became an instant hit among many fans – excluding rapper Kanye West.

While the song features Kanye’s close friend and rapper Jay-Z, their friendship did not hinder the rapper from recently telling a London crowd “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f**k with that ‘Suit & Tie.”

Timberlake made his fifth appearance on the legendary comedy show Saturday Night Live this weekend alongside several big guest stars and performed the song before a live studio audience.

Yet, on the heels of Kanye’s criticism, Timberlake switched a part of the single’s original lyric “Sh*t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hit’s so sick got rappers acting dramatic” — igniting further debate on the matter.

Just days after the performance, Timberlake appeared on Monday’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and addressed the swap. “I don’t remember that…Did I change that line?” he coyly remarked.

He then lightened the mood by saying “I absolutely love Kanye.  So there’s that” — and Timberlake advised everyone to “keep calm.”

Fallon then responded with affirmation (and humor) saying, “Keep calm, and Kanye on.”
