WDIV- A Wayne County judge has admitted he had sex with a woman in his chambers while her case was pending in his court.

In a 38-page response to the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission’s complaint that was filed against him, Wade McCree writes he started to be sexually involved with Geniene La’Shay Mott in June 2012. His response also states he would occasionally bring Mott into the courthouse through the building’s back entrance, which was reserved for judges and courthouse staff. But, McCree said, Mott never had “uninhabited access to the courthouse and that the courthouse was never in any danger because Mott was there.

Mott has said she regularly had sex with McCree in his office and eventually became pregnant. She met the judge while he was handling a child support case involving her child and another man.

Robert King of Macomb County’s Clinton Township has sued McCree and Mott over the situation on grounds his civil rights were violated.

King says the judge last summer ordered him to wear an electronic tether until he paid child support.

McCree said his relationship with Mott didn’t influence his judicial conduct or judgment regarding the King case, but that he “likely violated” a conduct code by not removing himself from the case.

McCree also said he is the victim of “stalking and extortion” by Mott.

In October, the state Supreme Court reprimanded McCree for sending a shirtless photo of himself to a court employee.
