Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

Paige Johnson, daughter of BET founders Bob and Shelia Johnson, married Dudley Payne, III on Saturday in the Bahamas, The Washington Post reports.

“More than 200 guests attended the lavish four-day celebration, which kicked off with a rehearsal dinner Thursday,” a piece on the Post‘s Reliable Source blog states. “A beach party on Friday got hit with some rain, but we’re told there was perfect weather for the ceremony and reception Saturday, where Grammy-winning R&B star Ne-Yo sang Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ for the couple’s first dance.”

This is the first marriage for both members of the couple, who met and began dating seven years ago.

Johnson is best known for her exploits as an equestrian, in addition to being the heiress to her parents’ estimated combined fortune of nearly one billion dollars.

Payne “has an insurance brokerage business,” the Post says, and a passion for golf.

“This guy is the perfect guy for Paige,” Bob Johnson said of Payne. “He’s a true gentleman.”
