Beyoncé fans have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the singer’s fifth album — but apparently the product is far from finished.

In a recent interview with Billboard, singer-producer Ne-Yo said that the album hasn’t reached its final stages yet and that he is still contributing to some of the songs.

“I’m still putting stuff together for Beyoncé’s album,” Ne-Yo said. “They’re still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at.”

So far this year three new songs, “Bow Down“, “Standing in the Sun”, and “Grown Woman”, have been released by the pop diva, but no one knows if they are official album cuts yet.

But Ne-Yo goes on to explain that it was the “Single Ladies” singer’s decision to delay the release in order to ensure that the album is conceived exactly how she envisions it.

“Beyoncé’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see it till it’s right,” he added. “Her fans — they love her so they’ll be patient.”
