Michelle Williams, one third of the chart-topping R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, is going back to her gospel music roots.

Williams who grew up singing in a church choir in her hometown of Rockford, Illinois, recently released a new single “If We Had Your Eyes.”

The song is the lead track from her upcoming Gospel album. However, in an interview with theGrio, the 33-year-old Grammy winner said that fans will have to wait patiently for her new album to be released in its entirety.

“A new album is coming very later on,” Williams said. “I’m with a new label, new management. They have been absolutely amazing. I didn’t think I would like the whole boutique thing, especially coming from such a big machine, but I like how we are a family.”

Williams’ also opened up about the success Kelly Rowland, who in June released her latest album, Talk a Good Game, where she candidly dishes on being jealous of Beyoncé and airs out her “Dirty Laundry.”

“It’s amazing that she has finally got to place where [She says], ‘y’all this is what it is, I can’t help it. I can’t fake the funk.’ Sometimes in the industry we have to smile when we’re really hurting inside. But at the same time our testimony can really help somebody that’s struggling with what we struggled with.”

Lastly, for Destiny’s Child fans that are still hoping for the girl group to team up again, Williams says she doesn’t rule out the possibility of a reunion album.

“Right now we are fulfilling out individual destinies. I just put out a new single, so there are some goals individually that I’m trying to reach, and who knows, never say never. It’s something that we have yet to really discuss.”
