ATLANTA – Reality-TV-star-turned-entrepreneur Toya Wright was just one of around 300 exhibitors showcasing products and services at this year’s mid-summer Bronner Bros. International Hair Show.
Wright, best known as the ex-wife of rapper Lil Wayne, launched her debut ‘Toya Wright Hair Collection’ on Saturday at the mega hair show.
Her line will carry premium extensions, including sought-after Peruvian, Eurasian and Brazilian virgin weave-ons, and Bronner Bros. is the first consumer launch of her brand.
Others celebrities who attended over the weekend included the likes of R&B trio TGT, actress LisaRaye McCoy, singer-songwriter Angie Stone, and reality stars RHOA’s Porsha Stewart as well as Keke Wyatt from R&B Divas.
The convention, notorious for its vibrant display of quirky and outrageous hairstyles, is expected to attract around 40,000 visitors by the end of the four-day convention, which ends on Tuesday Aug. 20.
For those working in the multi-million dollar hair industry, the event at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center is the place to be for innovative and cutting-edge hair, beauty and fashion.
“Each year we innovate the show with current and trending educational workshops while bringing the latest product offerings from leading manufacturers,” said Janet Wallace, show manager.
Attendees participate in over 150 workshops and seminars and around 500 distributors showcase their merchandise and services.
Now in its 66th year, the biannual convention has established itself as the largest beauty and trade show of its kind in the world.
