Recording artist and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs won’t let his number one ranking on Forbes list for hip-hop earners define him.

The Harlem native has an estimated net worth of $500 million and reportedly earned $50 million in 2013.

Though it’s an honor he’s won before, the Bad Boy CEO believes his charitable efforts will have a lasting impact on his legacy.

“I can’t deny how humbling and how proud I am to be from Harlem, New York, to be from the inner-city and be on the Forbes list,” said Diddy. “But it doesn’t define me.”

For the man who’s launched ventures like Sean Jean clothing and Ciroc Premium Vodka, Diddy’s next project, Revolt TV, could potentially add to his financial success in the coming years.

In June 2013 , Combs said, “This is a landmark distribution deal that demonstrates Time Warner Cable’s commitment to bringing a platform for music artists and fans to their subscribers. It positions Revolt to come out of the gate strong, and we look forward to igniting the passion of initial audiences across the U.S.”
