Halle Berry has revealed the baby name of her newborn son with husband Olivier Martinez. She and Martinez, who is of French heritage, chose a Spanish name for the latest member of their family, born on October 5.

“The actors have named the baby boy Maceo-Robert, a source close to the couple told People,” reports CBSNews.com.

The hyphenated first name likely has a deep and special meaning to the couple, according to various outlets.

“The first part of their baby’s moniker is of Spanish origin and means ‘gift of God,'” explains a story in the New York Daily News, “and the second half may be in honor of Martinez’s father, Robert.”

Maceo-Robert is the first child for Martinez, and the second for Berry. Berry also has a five-year-old daughter named Nahla Ariela, who was conceived with her ex-boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubrey.

The actor parents of little Maceo-Robert met on the set of the 2012 movie Dark Tide. Both are 47. The pair recently tied the knot in France on July 13 at the Chateau des Conde, which makes a third marriage for Berry.

Maceo-Robert Martinez will be raised as an American, although his European dad has adjusted to life stateside.

“My son will remain an American, but I will remain French,” Martinez told People in June. “I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture. I feel good there—but I’m still a foreigner. My son will be an American.”
