LeBron James told ESPN The Magazine’s Chris Broussard he ‘would love’ to sit down and talk with Michael Jordan about the game of basketball.
It just hasn’t happened yet.
The Jordan comments are part of a pretty wide-ranging interview where James addresses his pursuit of the ‘greatest of all-time’ label, developing a killer instinct and his fear of failure.

As for the Jordan conversation – James said he doesn’t know why the two basketball giants haven’t made it happen:
I think it’s just being busy. Obviously, I’m busy. MJ has a lot going on. I don’t know the reasons, but it’s never been sparked. I’ve seen him at times. Of course, I’ve met him a few times. I went to his 50th-birthday party at All-Star weekend. I went to his party to show respect and pay homage to the greatest. I had a conversation with him there, Obviously, there were a lot of people there. But I don’t know. I don’t know.
Broussard told ESPN’s Hannah Storm this week that he could see that something has changed in James demeanor compared to his previous interviews with him. Broussard said that he could previously sense that James was feeling burdened by all of the great expectations surrounding him.

Now? “It seems like the weight of the world is lifted off of his shoulders,” Broussard said.
James led the Heat to their second consecutive NBA Championship back in June. He is the league’s reigning MVP, Finals MVP and unquestionably its best player.
The Heat open the season against the Chicago Bulls on October 29.
