Nia Long, Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan and Morris Chestnut teamed up after a nearly 15-year hiatus for the much-anticipated Best Man sequel, The Best Man Holiday.
In an interview with theGrio’s Chris Witherspoon, Long, Diggs and Lathan open up about their new film and also discuss the news of Kerry Washington being reportedly pregnant.
Although skeptical to comment on Washington’s alleged pregnancy Long, who has two children, gave advice to the Scandal star on how to navigate being a Hollywood mom.
“I personally believe that when you birth this person into the world, you cannot be in a hurry to go back to work, because the first couple of months are so important for bonding,” the House of Lies actress said. “Mommies, really take the time to be with your children, because it makes a huge difference and they come into this world with a clean slate.”
“I always look at raising my babies as if I am making this great stew and each year a put a little bit of a different ingredient in there and what I don’t want is somebody messing up what I’ve established.”
The Best Man Holiday hits theaters November 15.
