Kanye West may have secured a new sneaker deal with Adidas, complete with royalties, but his old partners, Nike, may have had the last laugh over the weekend.
If you were carefully scanning Nike’s site this past Sunday, you were in for a surprise.
The Air Yeezy II, the last shoe Ye designed for the sneaker giant before switching teams, were available for purchase.
Once word began to spread via social media it was already too late, and the Red Octobers sold out. If the sneakerhead in you feels jaded because you missed its soft release, have no fear. Pairs are being auctioned online ranging from $500, to $10,000. Yeezus wept.
