Toni Braxton joined Bethenny this week to discuss the latest developments in her personal and professional lives and raised eyebrows with a few of the comments she made.

The six-time Grammy-Award-winning singer shared her thoughts on co-parenting her two children, Denim, 12, and Diezel, 10, and her relationship with her ex-husband Keri Lewis.

“I am in LA and my ex-husband is there but we get along great. We are very Caucasian, very white about it,” Braxton told Bethenny.

Bethenny responded, saying: “You are having a very white divorce?” to which Braxton confirmed. “We are really. We did.”

Braxton and Lewis were married for eight years and split in 2009 – their divorce was final in July of last year but the two still communicate and co-parent their two children.

The singer went on to explain what a black divorce was and referenced a scene from the film Baby Boy.

“I got that means, I hate you Jodi, I hate you Jodi. That’s what it means to black people.”
